A report from InfoSecurity Magazine citing a poll by a group in the U.K. found that more there was a huge increase in digital scams targeting U.K. online consumers. According to the report:
14% more people than last year said they had been targeted. The most common scams involved delivery/postal services (55%), government spoofing (41%), investment fraud (29%), rebates and refunds (28%), and banking (27%).
The report also warned that an upcoming government’s cost-of-living crisis distribution to U.K. citizens would fuel even more targeted scams.
